Convention Committee

ALLA's Convention Committee "Coordinates convention plans and keeps the Council informed of the plans. The President and Vice President/President-Elect are ex officio members. Other members include the immediate past Convention Committee chairman, assistant Convention Committee chairman (who will be the incoming Convention Committee chairman), and chairmen of the Convention Committee Subcommittees." -- Alabama Library Association Handbook, 9.4.

The Alabama House Legislature has proposed HB401, which specifically mentions library programming. ALLA's mission is to support Alabama libraries and librarians. To that end, ALLA's Executive Council has created this Statement on HB 401.
